A Marble Madness Inspired Game - September 2010
I created this game with one other student for a Game Design Practicum.
Our game allows the player to control a marble throughout various obstacles and elements to reach the goal position at the end of the level. The level is designed thematically to guide the player through four stages involving the elements of snow, wind, earth, and fire. The snow stage not only contains the visual elements of a frigid scene, but also an icy path that provides a slipper hazard for the player. The wind stage features varying wind gusts that push the player of his/her path. The earth stage contains moving platforms that the player must time correctly to pass through. The final fire stage contains fire hazards that engulf the player into a fireball along with an avalanche of boulders that chase you to the end of the level. Throughout the level, the player can go through multiple paths which each have their own tradeoffs. There are different enemies and power-ups, as well as portals that allow you to access different parts of the level.
This game was created in Unity using C# for our behavior scripts.
